This site is the collaborative effort of both the CCMM Ministry of Our Lady of the Cloister, and the vocational discerners
who are geographically located within the UK.
The CCMM Marian Society Ministry is dedicated to preserving the Catholic Christian history of Great Britain. The UK has been
known as "Mary's Dowry," and we hope to replace some of the jewels lost during the Protestant Reformation. (Admittedly,
we don't know what those jewels were, precisely)! We pray our single members may eventually establish a new congregation
called the "Handmaids of Mary for Mary's Dowry." The Handmaids would engage in the corporal and spiritual acts
of mercy.
The categories into which the congregations are placed on this site are the opinion of the CCMM Ministry of Our Lady of the
Cloister. These categories are based on a combination of factors--number of present religious; number of vocations in past
years; and the decision of the religious as to whether or not to accept new members or remain open, just to name a few.
We dedicate this site to Our Lady of Walsingham.
