Final Profession (Final Vows):

The Sister receives a black veil.

Ongoing Formation:

Religious formation does not stop with Final Profession. Each Sister continues her learning in her personal, religious and professional life.

Further Information:

The Sisters' primary work, apart from prayer, is mainly nursing and care work, so any experience that a woman has in this area is welcome. However, a candidate does not need to have any experience in care before she joins the community.

Women with interests, skills and experience in other areas are equally welcome. Often candidates discover skills and talents that they didn't know they had. The most important qualities to have are a love of God, to get along in the Spirit of St Augustine (Truth, Unity & Love), to be open to learning and trying new experiences.
