The Lay Cloisterites can follow our Stella Maris Contemplatives as closely as they can within their state-in-life.

The Way of Life of the Lay Cloisterites (Companions or Dedicated Laity), will include:

-- Developing a personal prayer rule, which includes living one's life for the promotion of the cloisters; new charisms; (Arch)dioceses without contemplatives; and the New Evangelization. One may live either eremitically or cenobitically in their state-in-life. The Daily Dedications and Cloisterite Rosary intentions are to be followed, as well.

-- Retaining a local spiritual director is strongly encouraged.

-- Following the Church's schedule for the Liturgy of the Hours as closely as possible.

-- Daily rosary; Chaplet of Divine Mercy; Lectio Divina; meditation; and Mass are also strongly encouraged.

-- Keeping company with the Mother of Sorrows from Thursday night to Sunday morning.

-- Make themselves available for parish vocation committees; vocation fairs (representing the cloisters); and nun runs.

-- At the very least, they place cloistered vocational information in parish racks.

-- Their prayers for the cloisters will include international monasteries. If this is a problem, please continue discernment of attractions toward the Cloisterites.

-- Membership on the Lay Cloisterites Groups.io subgroup, with regular monitoring of the email address used for said group.

Our Lady of the Cloister, pray for us!
