The Consecration to the Holy Ghost will be made upon entry to the Incubator (if such a consecration has not already been made).

 

An Incubator retreatant may stay for up to three months.  They will wear the color of the order they are discerning.  As one discerner with the Benedictines commented, "I would want to know if I could wear black the rest of my life."

 

The Incubator will be within the enclosure, but in a separate building.  The Cloisterite Incubator Mistress or Master will live in the same building.

Carmelite & Poor Clare: brown jumper and blouse with black babushka

(If discerning the Poor Clare Colettines, the retreatant may go barefoot)

 

Augustinian winter; Benedictine; & Visitation: black jumper and blouse with black babushka

 

Pink Sisters (Holy Spirit Adoration Sisters): white jumper with pink blouse and white babushka

 

Sisters Adorers of the Precious Blood & Nuns of Perpetual Adoration: red jumper and white blouse with black babushka

 

Augustinians: depends on season--may be either a white jumper and blouse with black babushka (summer) or black jumper and blouse with black babushka (winter)

 

Dominican & Norbertine: white jumper and blouse with black babushka

 

Community of St. Jean: grey jumper and blouse with white babushka

 

Redemptoristines: red jumper and blouse with black babushka

 

Handmaids of the Precious Blood: red jumper and blouse with white babushka

 

Cistericans & Trappistines: black jumper and white blouse with black babushka

 

Sacramentines: white jumper and black blouse with white babushka

 

Servants of the Lord & Virgin of Matara: blue jumper and grey blouse with blue babushka

 

Handmaids of the Most Holy Trinity: all blue on weekdays; all white on Sundays
