The Sisterhood of St. Genesius (the patron saint of actors) will be founded to minister to the motion picture industry, and the poor and needy in the surrounding area.  The Genesians may serve as chaplains to the studios, or run soup kitchens (or other apostolates) for the poor.  The Genesians will also act as technical resources to filmmakers who are producing works dealing with the religious life.  The sisters will follow the Rule of St. Benedict.  They will also make reparation for humanity worshipping human idols (as in hero worship).

 

The Genesian habit will be based on that worn by Sister Kate in the sitcom of the same name, only with a St. Benedict crucifix.  The convent will be named for St. Bartholomew.  In the sitcom "Just the Ten of Us," Marie Lubbock entered St. Bartholomew's Convent.  The Genesian oratory will be named St. Mary's, so there will literally be the "Bells of St. Mary's."

 

The community will be bi-ritual, though preferring the Mass in the Extraordinary Form (MEF/TLM).  All prayers will be in Latin.  Those discerners of an autocephalous, schismatic, or sedevacantist mindset should enter deep discernment before making application.  Reconciliation with Rome is prerequisite.  May the Holy Ghost be your guide.
