The Oblate Nuns of the Sacred Heart of Jesus are to be a cloistered contemplative community.
***Please note: we are not associated with the Oblate Sisters of the Sacred Heart in Ohio.***
Within their Monastery of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, the Oblate Nuns will live according to the Rule of St. Augustine,
with the spirituality of St. Francis de Sales. The Oblate Nuns' purpose in life is to make constant petition to Our
Lady of the Sacred Heart to ask Jesus for the conversion of sinners. Before the Blessed Sacrament, the nuns implore
the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus to ask His Mother for the grace of conversion for poor sinners.
In the nuns' religious practices, they will be bi-ritual, although preferring the MEF/TLM, and chant the Divine Office
in Latin. Among the community's devotions will be the Most Holy Rosary, the Chaplet of the Sacred Heart, and the Chaplet
of Divine Mercy. Their remunerative work will include the selling of Sacred Heart devotional items (books, statues,
chaplets, necklaces, etc.).
Candidates to this community will develop a near-fanatical love for the Sacred Heart through devotion to the Sacred Head
of Jesus. These candidates will make His priorities their own--the salvation of souls.
