Sacred Heart of Jesus, mayest Thou be known, loved, and imitated!  (Raccolta # 235)

***A Proposed Charism that will begin as Congregational Recluses in the CAMM/CCMM Education Division.***

The Oblate Nuns of the Sacred Heart of Jesus are to be a cloistered contemplative community.

***Please note: we are not associated with the Oblate Sisters of the Sacred Heart in Ohio.***

Within their Monastery of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, the Oblate Nuns will live according to the Rule of St. Augustine, with the spirituality of St. Francis de Sales.  The Oblate Nuns' purpose in life is to make constant petition to Our Lady of the Sacred Heart to ask Jesus for the conversion of sinners.  Before the Blessed Sacrament, the nuns implore the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus to ask His Mother for the grace of conversion for poor sinners.

In the nuns' religious practices, they will be bi-ritual, although preferring the MEF/TLM, and chant the Divine Office in Latin.  Among the community's devotions will be the Most Holy Rosary, the Chaplet of the Sacred Heart, and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.  Their remunerative work will include the selling of Sacred Heart devotional items (books, statues, chaplets, necklaces, etc.).

Candidates to this community will develop a near-fanatical love for the Sacred Heart through devotion to the Sacred Head of Jesus.  These candidates will make His priorities their own--the salvation of souls.

Habit:  In accordance with Canon Law 669, the Oblate Nuns of the Sacred Heart of Jesus will wear a full-length habit.

The garb for the different stages of formation will be as follows:

Aspirants: black jumpers and white blouses.  In the choir, they will add a chapel cap.

Postulants: black candidate's dress (black skirt, blouse, and capelet) with a Sacred Heart medal.  In choir, they also wear a chapel cap.

Novices: all white full habit, with the Sacred Heart embroidered on the scapular, over their heart.   They also wear a black belt, and black 20-decade rosary.

Junior Professed: will wear the black veil.

Perpetual Profession: a two-inch gold stripe is added to the veil (e.g.--Mother Theresa's Missionaries of Charity veil).

Ages: 17 and up.  High school education or equivalent is required.

If an aspirant is a Sedevacantist or belongs to another schismatic group, we recommend deep discernment before making application to this community.   Reconciliation with Rome is prerequisite.  May the Holy Ghost be your guide.
