Those feeling attracted to emerging charisms, and they are not the primary founder, are known as "adherents."

Before joining:

Be sure to discuss any attraction to religious life with one's spiritual director. Emerging charisms require vocations with great flexibility and a "let's see what happens" attitude.

Spiritual Directors should >>>not<<< lead their charges away from emerging charisms. If the directee is attracted to it, permit them to follow the attraction.

Even if one does not think they have the flexibility, the Spirit may surprise them. Follow anyway.

After joining:

Please be sure to share inspirations with the founder. As St. Benedict says, the Lord will often speak through the youngest. This holds true for adherents. You may be bubbling over with inspiration, or you may have one sentence. All of this is needed to build the new community.
