Soul of Jesus, sorrowful unto death, would that I could console Thee in Thy bitter anguish and grief.

***A proposed charism that will begin as Congregational Recluses in the Prisons Division of the CAMM/CCMM.***

The Companions of the Soul of Christ Abandoned and the Poor Souls will be a cloistered, contemplative community whose aim will be to console Our Lord's soul, and offer penance and sacrifice for the Poor Souls in Purgatory.

The "Lamp of the Poor Souls" will be kept burning in the nuns' choir as a perpetual votive candle for the Poor Souls.

Among the community's patrons will be St. Veronica; St. Christina the Astonishing; and St. Nicholas of Tolentine (patron of the Poor Souls).

Habit: In accordance with Canon Law 669, the Companions' habit will be as follows: black tunic (for Our Lord's grief); red scapular with crucifix over Purgatory scene (Poor Souls); white veil (for Our Lord's Soul).

The Companions will be Ecclesia Dei Traditionalist, meaning they are in communion with Rome. They will have the Indult Latin Mass; and all prayers will be in Latin. The community may, in fact, be bi-form, depending on the availability of the Mass in the Extraordinary Form.

Prayer for the Most Forsaken Soul in Purgatory

For the sake of Your Divine Son, our Savior, deliver all the suffering souls, dear God, and especially the one who is the most abandoned of all.

Bring this person into the eternal happiness of Your Presence, to give you glory and praise forever.  Amen.

Interested discerners who belong to an autocephalous church; schismatic; or sedevacantist sects should make deep discernment before making application to this community.  Reconciliation with Rome is prerequisite.  May the Holy Ghost be your guide.

Complaints of the Soul of Our Blessed Lord

My Soul is not known.  My Soul is not loved.  Night and day I see living lamps burning before my altar.  My Sacrament of love finds worshippers and victims; but My Soul does not meet with sympathizing souls.  Every day I give Myself up to My creatures, and swallowed up in this union, they praise everything in Me but My Soul and My Sacred Head crowned with thorns, the Seat of Divine Wisdom. . .Few there are who compassionate the anguish of My Soul, sorrowful unto death.  My Heart has found thousands of hearts, but My Soul remains solitary, and My Thorn-crowned Brow unhonoured.  My Face besmeared, and My Eyes and Mouth filled with congealing Blood, and no one is there to wipe it away and refresh My parched Lips and swollen Tongue.

My Soul is sorrowful even unto death, and I have looked for someone to comfort Me and there is none.
