***A Proposed Charism that will emerge as Congregational Recluses for the CAMM/CCMM Medical Division.***

The Recluses of Adrienne Von Speyr will be a cloistered, contemplative community dedicated to not only the contemplation of God, but to deepen each nun's relationship with the Creator through the use of Adrienne Von Speyr's writings.

The nuns will also strive to promote Von Speyr's writings, and pray for her glorification.

The Recluses will live in an enclosed laura, similar to those which dotted Ireland in the early years of Christianity.

The Prior's cell will be closest to the gate, which, when opened, will guide visitors directly to the laura oratory.

The Albertine Rule (eremetical) will be followed, and the Constitutions will be developed from Adrienne's writings.

The Recluses will also have monks, if there is interest.

Adrienne Von Speyr was a Swiss convert, mystic, physician, and wife.  She was converted to Catholicism by Fr. Hans Urs von Balthasar.

A great number of her writings are available through Ignatius Press.

Habit: Nuns--Tan tunic with black v-shaped capelet; silver reliquary cross; black veil.  Monks--Tan tunic with black hooded cowl; silver reliquary cross.
