Gemma -- Promoter-Mentor
While I was praying at the Volunteer Womens' Medical
Clinic in Knoxville, Tennessee, I received the Holy Spirit Inspiration of Dominican red-habited sisters who would work
to end the Culture of Death.
While I was praying at the Knoxville Center for Reproductive Health,
also in Knoxville, I received the Holy Spirit Inspiration of pink-habited sisters who would pray to end the
Culture of Death.
I went to the Diocese of Knoxville's premier bishop, Anthony J. O'Connell, regarding
the Dominican Daughters of the Holy Innocents & St. Gianna Molla; and the Contemplatives of Life; and establishing them
in the Diocese of Knoxville. He said yes to establishing this ministry, hence this website.
Since
I am married, yet received the Holy Spirit Inspiration, I am the promoter-mentor.
Karen -- Promoter
When I was living in the Diocese of Toledo, Ohio, I felt
the call to Religious Life, and said yes. I started discerning what charism God wanted me to pursue.
My
family moved to the Diocese of Knoxville, Tennessee, and I continued discerning what charism God wanted me to pursue.
During
this time, I joined my parish's Respect Life Committee, and learned about and joined the Missionaries of the Gospel of Life.
From this, I learned that God wanted me to pursue the Pro-Life Charism in the Religious Life.
When
I looked at the Pro-Life orders that I knew about, I soon discovered that I was beyond the entrance age limit. I didn't
give up, and looked to see if there were any other Pro-Life Orders out there.
God closes
one door and opens another
During my search, I found the Dominican Daughters
of the Holy Innocents & St. Gianna Molla that Gemma was promoting.
Seeing that the Holy Spirit
Inspirations happened at the abortuaries in the Diocese of Knoxville where God had moved us to, I felt that this is what God
wanted me to do: establish the Dominican Daughters of the Holy Innocents & St. Gianna Molla, as well as the Contemplatives
of Life Eremitical Network, and Dr. St. Gianna's Assistants of Life (DGAL) to wherever He wanted us to go.
