The religious practices of the Order of Sempringham of the Primitive Observance will be along the same
lines as the rest of the religious life.
They will find their strength
in the daily Eucharist.
Out of austerity of sound, they will
chant the Divine Office in monotone.
The corded rosary suspended from
their plain rope cintures will exemplify St. Gilbert's devotion to Our Lady.
In
the Benedictine tradition, they will practice meditation and Lectio Divina.
Holy
reading will be in the cloister, as per the Gilbertine constitutions.
