All associations are required to have a guiding document, known as statutes.

Nature, Purpose, and Name:

A private lay association of Christ's faithful without the intention of becoming an institute of religious life, to be known as the Compassionate Friends of the Comatose. We are a ministry of Dr. St. Gianna's Assistants for Life. We are dedicated to the promotion of care for the comatose, and those in like-states. We have as a long-term goal the establishment of a religious institute for women, men, or both with the apostolate of caring for the comatose.

Membership:

Our membership is open to Catholics in good standing with the church who support our objectives. Those attracted to a vowed form of life must meet the usual requirements of freedom from obligation and debts, and correct attraction to the apostolate.

Communication with the Coordinator, whether to join or to separate from our organization, is required.

Manner of Action:

We are primarily on the internet, meeting through Groups.io. We can utilize internet meetings, or meet locally, should there be sufficient numbers. We will use websites to convey our message. Blogging and other social media may also be utilized.

Government & Center:

The center of government is the domicile of the President. Recognition by Rome will not be sought until there are thousands of members, and we have the support of numerous bishops.

Review and Amendment of Statutes:

A review and amendment of statutes is recommended on a yearly basis, until the membership is comfortable with the statutes.

Disbandment will require a three-quarters majority, and the consent of the CAMM-ACMM DGAL.

Lay Associates:

We prefer that lay associates become CAMM St. Lazarus Raised Ministers.

However, the Lay Oblates of St. Lazarus Raised are a possibility.

Membership levels will be Companions, Dedicated Laity, and Religious Life Track.

Distinctive garb may be worn, religious names may be taken, and members of the same sex may share living quarters. This living arrangement will be known as a beguinage.
