An autistic's transition to an eremitical life is somewhat natural, but it does pose its own challenges.  Don't rush anything, and add the eremitical elements one at a time.

Transitioning will also depend on the level of autism being dealt with.  Perhaps making out a schedule as the primary goal, and then implementing one new devotion or activity at a time would be more manageable.  When the person with autism is comfortable with the new activity, then the next activity can be introduced.
