Motto:  "PAX!  By His Wounds We Are Healed!"

The Transfiguration Sisterhood will be founded to be of service in the traumatized inner-city neighborhoods.  Through devotion to the Holy Wounds, the sisters will help transform the spiritually wounded--primarily children.  Their apostolates will include, but are not limited to, orphanages; homes for abused babies; schools; and retreat centers.  The first community will have all four apostolates as long-term goals.

The sisters' charism is based on a combination of the Benedictine, Salesian, and Brigittine spiritualities.

***Please note: we are not associated with the Brigittine, Benedictine, or Salesian religious orders.***

Their horarium will include daily Latin Traditional Mass (the community is Ecclesia Dei Traditionalist); Latin Divine Office; Rosary; Eucharistic adoration; the Chaplet of the Five Holy Wounds; Lectio Divina; and contemplative prayer.

The sisters' convents will have specified areas of cloister.

Habit:  In accordance with Canon Law 669, the sisters' habit is as follows:

White tunic, sapphire blue scapular, black capelet with Benedictine crucifix over the heart, and black veil with Brigittine Crown of the Five Holy Wounds.  At Perpetual Profession, a silver ring bearing the words "Love One Another" will be received.

Those sisters in temporary vows will have the black veil and Brigittine crown, but no ring.

Novices will have a white veil, but no Brigittine crown.

Postulants will wear the all black candidate's dress, consisting of  black skirt, black blouse, and black capelet with Benedictine crucifix over their heart.

Novas--white blouse, skirt, tights, shoes, and veil.

Ages: 17 and up.  High school education or equivalent required.

If an aspirant is a Sedevacantist or belongs to another schismatic group, we recommend deep discernment before making application to this community.  Reconciliation with Rome is prerequisite.  May the Holy Ghost be your guide.
