***A proposed charism that will emerge as an apostolate in the Combination Division of the CAMM/CCMM.***
The Clerics Regular of St. Dominic Savio will minister to parishes where they are stationed. The Clerks will go
where they are needed.
Priests, deacons, and brothers will be in this community. All ministering will be done out of a great love of the
Church, like the Clerics' patron, St. Dominic Savio.
No homosexuals may apply for this community. The most stringent of standards will be used to screen applicants.
The habit of the professed will consist of a white tunic with red cord cincture, and a black, 20-decade rosary hanging
from the left side of the cord. Footwear will be black. This habit is based on St. John Bosco's dream of St. Dominic
Savio in glory. The Clerics are to imitate the saint's purity, and strive to make every sacrifice necessary to maintain
said purity, hence the red cord. The black rosary should remind the Clerks of the Sorrows of Our Lady, particularly
her sorrow over the impurity of the world. The black shoes signify death to the world and its ways.
The Clerics Regular, while preferring the Mass in the Extraordinary Form (MEF or TLM), will be open to the needs of the
diocese in which they serve. Therefore, they will be taught both versions of the Mass.
