The Salesian School Sisters of the Divine Redeemer will be cloistered school teachers in the tradition of the Visitation's Second Federation.  Their rule will be a combination of Salesian and Redemptoristine spiritualities--as expressed by their habit, which will be Visitation but with red Redemptoristine "Bon Jesu" scapular and red cincture. The scapular picture is shown at right.

These sisters will make reparation for the sins of religious congregations; suicide; and "gender reassignment."  The Constitutions will be based on the original Celestine Redemptoristine rule; the Spiritual Directory of St. Francis de Sales; and the revelations to St. Margaret Mary regarding the sins of religious.
