Ministry-to-Charism

Welcome Statue of Liberty

***A proposed charism that will begin as Congregational Recluses for the CAMM/CCMM Medical Division.***

This religious community of sisters (brothers also, if there's interest)  will offer hospitals and clinics in the great Catholic tradition, while practicing the gentle spirituality of St. Francis de Sales.

The community will be Ecclesia Dei Traditionalist, utilizing the 1962 Missal.  All prayers will be in Latin.  The Latin Salve Procession will be prayed after Compline (Night Prayer).

Sisters (or brothers) while on duty in either the clinic or hospital will be dispensed from religious exercises.  Their prayer is caring for God's people.  Those sisters (or brothers) who are not on duty will carry in prayer their brothers or sisters who are on duty.

The habit will be like that of the Visitation nuns, only all white.   As a testimony to Holy Poverty, the sisters will have a habit of white only.  In lieu of the Salesian reliquary cross (which could lose it's contents over a patient's open wound), the cross will have the same design, only flat.

Levels of Formation, Duration, and Habit:

Nova (three months): white blouse, skirt, shoes, and lightweight veil.

Postulant (nine months): adds white capelet to Nova habit.

Novice (two years): receives the habit.  No cross worn.

Temporary profession (three to five years): receives cross.

Final profession: receives ring.

Stages of the habit are based on that of the Visitation nuns.
