Gemma knows of one monastery in the United States which was cited by their local health department for running an unlicensed nursing home--due to the number of elderly sisters in their infirmary.  We are hoping to alleviate this problem by opening the cloistered nursing home and giving these religious a good home-away-from-home.

 

We will be needing doctors, nurses, therapists, and any other occupation usually found in either nursing homes or hospitals.  We are hoping to have our own ambulance with which to pick up the nun- or monk-patients.  Therefore, EMT or paramedic certification would be a real plus.
