The Teresian Nuns of Perpetual Adoration will be cloistered contemplatives living the Teresian Carmelite way of
life, with the added apostolate of perpetual adoration. This also follows the prophet Elijah, who, when resting on his
journey, was prompted by an angel to "take and eat, or the journey will be too long," with the Heavenly Food sitting before
him.
The community will be--like all of the Cloister Outreach Foundations--Ecclesia Dei Traditionalist. The Latin
Tridentine Mass will be the center of the nuns' lives.
The 1990 Constitutions of the Carmelite nuns will be followed.
The traditional Carmelite habit will be worn, with a monstrance pendant added. The cream-colored choir cape
will have stripes added, running through the cape at about the elbow. These stripes were insprired by Mel Gibson's "The
Passion of the Christ" and the robe Our Lord wore while carrying the cross.
The nuns' monastery will be like that of a Charterhouse--hermitages joined by a cloister walkway.
If anyone interested in this community is a member of an autocephalous church; schismatic society; or belongs to
a sedevacantist group, we recommend deep discernment before contacting us. Reconciliation with Rome
will be required before we consider anyone who has participated in such societies. May the Holy Ghost be your guide.
