Community

Redemptoristine life is not all prayer, work and study!

Recreation is a happy and social event with chat and laughter. The community has a family-type of atmosphere and all are treated with warmth and sisterly charity.

The sisters enjoy hobbies, handicraft and music. When the Chaplain has to be absent for a while, the sisters love to look after his dog.

There are also informal walks through the beautiful woodlands to the lake and there are plenty of opportunities for birdwatching with many parrots and birds in the grounds. If you look carefully you might even spot the kookaburra sitting in the old gumtree!

The nuns can and do write letters to family every month.

No unnecessary work is done on Sundays and there is also some free-time on "hermit-nights".

The sisters may ask to speak to the Prioress (or the Chaplain) at any time, if she needs extra support or advice.

Each sister is encouraged, but never forced, to use her talents, and she will often discover new gifts she never knew she had.
