A woman attracted to the Redemptoristine way of life may request to spend some time inside the Enclosure as an Aspirant. This
is also known as a "Live-In" or a "Come-And-See".
The Aspirant is given a simple black veil, a cell within the novitiate wing, and lives alongside the community. The exact
time is flexible, but she must not stay for more than three months. She follows a flexible timetable, praying, working, learning
and experiencing the Redemptoristine life within the Enclosure. There will be no pressure or obligation to enter and she is
free to end the Aspirancy and leave at any time.
The Aspirant must understand that admittance to the cloister is a privilege, and she will be expected to maintain Enclosure
until the end of the Aspirancy (unless it is absolutely necessary to go out, e.g. medical reasons). After this stage she may
request to join as a Postulant.
